 What the designer says:

If they ever have been written about the ultimate book on yacht racing , there’s going to be one name that get a lot of mentions – Doug Peterson. This person is the designer of so many famous boats such as Ganbare,Scarlet O’Hara, Eclips, Perfect Stranger, Cheetah, and of course, the legendary series of Williwas (four in total), has been one of the dominant forces in racing yacht design in the last 15 years. His designs not only won their world titles in every IOR ton class, but also a lot more : Winner Two American Cup with New Zealand Team, Louis Vuitton Cup Admiral’s Cups, Sardinia Cups, Clipper Cups etc. Without any of doubt Doug Peterson become one of the hottest ever.

Now we take a designer Doug Peterson, sit down at a drawing table and said : “Design us the ultimate cruising boat.” And that was exactly what Hans Christian Yacht did, So major as the Master  – the new Christina 52.

The design commission gave me a free hand to design a 48-52 feet high-performance cruising boat that would be easy to sail and to maintain. I have been designed the Christina 52 to have great speed with a very comfortable motion and it was designed as a pure cruising boat.”

This exciting boat is a drastic departure from those traditional, full keel, heavy displacement yachts (like the Hans Christian 33, 38, 43, etc.) that Hans Christian has previously staked their fame and fortune on – and It’s a continuation of a boats builder’s new line of Christina Yachts building the first).

The basic of concept is the performance hall– and that is exactly what Peterson is going for in this extremely powerful hull with full skeg rudder and that famous Peterson fin sweet – It should be an incredible offshore cruising yacht. Tahiti, anyone?
Available in either aft or center cockpit, sloop or cuter, the Christina 52 also has several interior options – including a delightful owner’s aft cabin arrangement (with another huge stateroom forward), a twin aft cabin layout (shown), even a four stateroom setup (perfect for charter).

If you ever been below on a Han Christian, you already have a good indication of what the interior of Christina 52 is like. If you haven’t then hold on to your heart, because it’s gonna be blown away by some of the finest wood craftsmanship that the world have stop offer!

Is this boat become the successor to the recently classic Peterson 44, that cruiser have been waiting for so long? Sure, please, take a look.

    Day on the sea

We found this unique sailing excursion through our hotel. We were initially looking for a fishing trip, but found this instead. It was a great decision! Our Captain Luca and the crew, who are quite a lovely. They have an extensive knowledge of the samui area and of sailing in general. Luca gave us very interesting information on the ecological systems that occur in the samui island and how the people and local interact with these. We cruised out to the reef where we were able to snorkel. We then went to the reef and the snorkeling was amazing. I have done snorkeling before, but have never seen this much. Captain luca was able to tell us exactly what we were seeing. After snorkeling, we enjoyed chef cuisine was amazing, courtesy of his grill on the back of the boat. It was delicious. Finally as the afternoon progressed, we slowly headed back and enjoyed the sunset and relaxation that only a sailboat can provide. It was an amazing day, a highlight of our entire trip! We highly recommend this to anyone who is considering a day on the sea. And thanks.
